Diet and Be Healthy
In the US, part of the debate over healthcare is over prevention. And what is number one area of prevention? Obesity. Whether it is diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, or even joint problems, many health problems stem from being overweight. Carrying around extra pounds is not going to make these health problems go away. All of these health problems can be prevented with modified behavior. A proper diet can lead to a longer and healthier life.
Type 2 diabetes is a health crisis that can be avoided. It can lead to daily injections, eyesight problems, and amputation, and other long term health problems. The first thing to do is avoid your daily sugar rush. A sweet tooth is not a medical condition; it is a lack of willpower. Avoid processed or prepared foods.
Heart disease is the number on killer. Heart problems and cholesterol demand a change in diet. A doctor will recommend proper medication. He or she will also recommend a diet. THAT DIET IS CRUCIAL, MEDICATION ALONE WILL NOT WORK. You need to switch to a diet that is high in foods that reduce cholesterol. A high fiber diet will help improve your odds of beating heart disease. Don’t think that diet works for you? Does gasping for breath work for you? It is recommended that you can no more than 30% of your daily calories from fat.
